At the Holland Ranches, grain finished means the calf was born in the pasture, raised by a cow who was 100% grass fed, grazed on 100% native grasses until 60-90 days before processing. At this point, the calf is still fully pasture and grazing, however is offered grain to supplement in his diet. This will create fat marbling and higher fat content, as many meat-atarians prefer.
Our animals live in a clean, spacious, low-stress setting so they can grow naturally without hormones or routine antibiotic use. A local, USDA Inspected & Approved, family-owned butcher shops, Harvest House Meats and M&M Custom Butcher, cuts and vacuum packs our meat to extended freshness. The beef is dry-aged at least 14 days to maximize tenderness and flavor.
At Holland Ranch, we strive to be good stewards of the land. Our ranch pastures are maintained with minimal interference from human hands to keep our land in the most natural state, in turn helps maintain water quality, and provides natural habitat for our livestock and abundant wildlife. Our ranch has been in the family for over 150 years and we are proud to continue the tradition of raising wholesome, natural meats.

**Keep in mind, this includes the more expensive cuts of meat as well. The price per pound will resemble the grocery store price when averaging all the meat cuts together.
Many factors come into play when the actual price per pound is determined; the exact Hanging Weight (which is not determined until processing), the type of steak cuts (some customers prefer more fat or leaner cuttings, bona-in), and custom packaging may be available per processor.
Customers are responsible for meat pick-up. Once the processor logs an official HANGING WEIGHT, we will send an invoice to our customer for final payment that is required to be paid before the beef is picked-up. *The pounds of finished meat each calf will produce will fluctuate slightly. All meat carcasses are different.
